Iznik Vines Deep Decorative Plate
This intricate and detailed hand painted decorative plate from Turkey is a spectacular example of classical Iznik artistry. It features a stripe and vine pattern, along with a shaped edge for added visual interest, and is has an almost bowl-like shape that is deeper than a standard plate. It makes an elegant Mediterranean decor accent piece and can also be used for serving. Plate stand not included. Hanging Wall Plates: Want to use this hand painted decorative ceramic plate as a hanging wall plate? It’s easy! There is a pre-drilled hole in the back through which you can thread a piece of sturdy wire, twist it to make a loop, and then just hook it onto a nail or screw that has been securely mounted in the wall. (Be sure to find a stud or use a wall anchor to support heavy pieces.)
Serving/Dishwasher Information: This item is food and dishwasher safe, however we recommend that if you place it in the dishwasher, you use the low heat setting to prevent small cracks from forming in the glaze. The best idea is to hand wash this piece. Please note that none of our hand painted ceramics can be placed in the oven or otherwise used for cooking!
Display Stands: A hand painted decorative ceramic plate also looks good on display using one of our plate or bowl stands. One advantage of using a display stand is that when you want to use a piece for serving, you can just grab it off the stand, and return it after use. We show our recommended display stand(s) for this item to the right, but in any case, be sure to check the depth that your desired stand can accommodate.
