Mexican Talavera Oval Platter
This colorful hand painted ceramic platter from Mexico combines the Mediterranean and native artistic influences in a bright, primitive design. This item works equally well for serving or as a decor accent piece, and coordinates nicely with our other Mexican talavera offerings--you can mix or match the patterns among different pieces (shown to the right).
Display Stands: A hand painted decorative ceramic plate looks good on display using one of our plate or bowl stands. One advantage of using a display stand is that when you want to use a piece for serving, you can just grab it off the stand, and return it after use. We show our recommended display stand(s) for this item to the right, but in any case, be sure to check the depth that your desired stand can accommodate. Serving/Dishwasher Information: This item is food and dishwasher safe, however we recommend that if you place it in the dishwasher, you use the low heat setting to prevent small cracks from forming in the glaze. The best idea is to hand wash this piece. Please note that none of our hand painted ceramics can be placed in the oven or otherwise used for cooking! |
