This handmade and hand painted canister has an exotic pattern that is both painted and carved into the clay, giving a unique three-dimensional effect. It is 10" high and 10" in diameter, and large enough to be used as a kitchen canister, but also looks good on the floor or hearth, or on a shelf or table as a decorative piece. This canister comes from the city of Safi, a historical center of Moroccan pottery on the Atlantic coast south of Casablanca. Food safe, but we recommend hand washing.
Please note that Moroccan pottery is made by entirely by hand and tends to be very rustic in appearance, often including numerous imperfections which do not detract from its value but add to its charm. Every piece of Moroccan pottery is truly unique, with slightly different patterns and colors, so your canister may vary slightly from the one pictured.
